ATO ALPINE AIRLINES
The school of mountain flying
The Alpine Airlines flight school was created in 2014 by the founders of Alpine Airlines, in order to meet the training needs of the airline’s pilots.
Certified ATO (Approved Training Organisation) since 2014, it is currently the only flying school to offer mountain wheel and ski qualification (glaciers) in a professional environment.
Based all year long at Courchevel airfield and at Chambéry airport, you will benefit from our instructors long experience, who are also airline pilots in our company, in the greatest conditions.
Autorisation de site et d’accès
Courchevel – LFLJ
Duration: 3 hours of flight – 2 hours of theoretical lessons.
The altiport qualification will be granted to pilot license holders who have undergone specific training on each site.
The training lasts 1.5 days including a minimum of 3 hours of flight and ground lessons on mountain flying.
The authorization is then valid for 6 months, and is automatically extended each time the pilot uses the altiport as the pilot in command.

Saint-Tropez “La Mole” – LFTZ
Departing from Chambéry or Courchevel
Duration: 1 hour and a 30 hours of on-site flight LFTZ – 1 hour of theoretical lessons.
The training lasts half a day.
This airfield benefits from privileged access to the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, and will save you long hours ofdriving.
Only 45 minutes away from Corsica, “La Môle” is a perfect stopover for a nice break before your last leg toward the Beauty Island.
Being also based in Saint-Tropez, our instructors will share with you the best of their experience and knowledge.
Samedan – LSZS
Departing from Chambéry or Courchevel
Duration: 1 hour of flight on LSZS site – 1 hour of theoretical lessons – 0h45 of QCM test online.
The training lasts one day.
Qualifications spécifiques au vol en montagne
Qualification pilote Montagne roues et/ou skis (glaciers)
Durée : 15h00 de vol + 10h00 de de cours théoriques (+6h00 pour extension neige, minimum…) + test en vol.
The Mountain Qualification course is probably the most awarding training for a pilot.
Fly over the summits, fly in narrow valleys, land on slopes fields in less than 200 meters…
Either for a few hours course or a full intensive training, mountain flights will always improve your flying techniques and your knowledge
From May to November, get your wheel mountain qualification, then between December to April, go for the skis on glaciers!
This training is aimed at pilots with experience of the classic train and solid basic flying.

You can renew it on your aircraft or any of our fleet.
Private pilot licence
Duration of training: 3 months if intensive, 1 to 2 years if in parallel to a professional activity.
Minimum flight time: 45 hours
Minimum of theoretical courses: 25:00
